Counseling Services
Counseling services have been offered by Dr. Martha Matthews at this office since 2001. Services are available to adults regardless of occupation, race, religion, nationality, or sex. Counseling/problem solving/Skill Building are offered to individuals (women and men), couples, and groups to aid in:
Improving relationships
Promoting personal growth
Coping with life changes
Coping with grief and loss
Dealing with women's health, emotional, PMS, and fertility issues
Recovery from sexual, physical, or emotional abuse or rape
Reducing stress
Relieving depression
Managing physical pain
Gender issues
Coping with physical illness
Career/retirement management

Appointments
All Individual, couple, and group counseling, is offered on a confidential basis. Session times are
Initial interview 75 minutes
Ongoing individual and couple sessions 45-50 minutes
Issue oriented groups, offered periodically during the year 90 minutes for 6-8 weeks.

Fees
Payment at the time of service is expected. Bloomington OB/GYN accepts checks, cash, Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard).
Some insurance company's will pay part of the fee for these services Your insurance company or Bloomington OB/GYN can assist you in determining what your insurance or health plan will cover. Please call the office if you have questions about this.
Calls and Emergencies
Dr. Martha Matthews will try to return phone calls to established patients within 24 hours. When this is not possible, or in an emergency, patients should contact the Bloomington Hospital Emergency Department at (812)353-9515.
